I’m not any kind of Asian [maybe Asian at heart, haha], but I can distinguish the basic languages from each other [Chinese, Japanese, Korean, the Filipino dialects, etc.]. And anytime someone who isn’t Asian tries to guess someone else’s ethnicity just by the language they’re speaking and they’re wrong, I correct them right away. And then I get looked at awkwardly...

I grew up looking away whenever there was a kissing scene on TV, even if it was brief. I think it’s normal for kids to do that, BUT I’M 19 NOW AND I STILL DO IT INSTINCTIVELY.
